To get started, you will need to create a Zinio for Libraries Account. It is used to check-out magazines from the ORL’s Zinio for Libraries collection and to sign in to read magazines on the Zinio for Libraries App for iPads and Android devices.
You can also use this account to sign in and use the OneClickdigital eAudiobooks and InstantFlix eMovies collections!
Do you already have an account for using the OneClickdigital and InstantFlix collections? You can sign in to use Zinio for Libraries with that account and skip this account creation step.
App users – go through the steps below first! The Zinio for Libraries App is for reading only, account creation and magazine check-out is not available on the App.
Step 1. Visit the ORL's Zinio for Libraries collection.
Step 2. Search for magazines by genre or title.
Step 3. Click on the cover image of a magazine you would like to borrow.
Step 4. Click the Checkout button.
Step 5. It is now time to create your Zinio for Libraries account*. Click on the Create New Account link on the pop-up window and enter your library barcode number. Then enter your name, email address, create a password and click Create Account (Remember the email address and password used, they will be used to log in to the Zinio for Libraries collection from now on).
You will receive a confirmation email indicating that your account has been created.
In the Success! window...
Click the Start Reading button to read your magazine online. Your magazine will open in a new browser tab.
Or, click on Keep Browsing if you want to check-out more magazines.
Your collection of checked-out magazines can be found in the My Collection link in the top right corner of the ORL's Zinio for Libraries collection page.
Next to the GET THE APP to read offline heading, tap on the device you are using to download the free Zinio for Libraries App.
The Zinio for Libraries App is available for iPads and iPhones running iOS 7.0 or newer, for Android running 4.0.3 or newer. You will be taken to download the app from the app store.
The Zinio for Libraries App is also available for Kindle Fire HD or HDX tablets, you will be taken to the following link, http://www.rbdigital.com/files/ZinioForLibraries.126.96.36.19950415-arm-RELEASE.apk, to download the app because the app is not available from the Amazon Appstore. Before downloading the app, you will first need set the tablet to “Allow installation of apps from unknown sources” through Device Settings on the Kindle Fire.
After the Zinio for Libraries App is downloaded and open, tap Sign In (or Log In depending on device), then
Select the country and province where the library is located: Choose Canada, then British Columbia.
Scroll down and select the library name, Okanagan Regional Library.
Enter the email address and the password you’ve already created for your Zinio for Libraries Account and tap Submit (or Log In).
Your checked out magazines will appear on the App.
You can return to the Zinio for Libraries collection page in your internet browser to check-out more magazines.
Go to the Zinio for Libraries App to read the magazines.

For offline reading, download the magazines by clicking on the cloud and arrow icon underneath the cover image.
